Tuesday morning, Jay Dardenne’s campaign for governor released it’s first statewide television ad.
The ad’s voiceover has a heavy southern accent. The ad opens, teasing, “[s]omething good is about to happen in Louisiana.” As the ad closes, the voiceover reassures that Jay Dardenne “[w]ill make Louisiana proud.”
The campaign noted that their ad will “stay up on television through the duration of the election.” Along with television, the campaign is reaching Louisiana voters online by using what they’re calling “micro-targeting methods.”
The Advertiser’s Greg Hilburn noted that the ad focused on the “lieutenant governor’s scandal-free career and bipartisanship.”
As The Times-Picayune’s Kevin Litten notes, all four Louisiana gubernatorial candidates now have commercials on the air.
